Why salon treatments are effective

Avoid using treatments the day before coloring your hair.

If possible, try to avoid using treatments and conditioners the day before dyeing your hair. Treatments contain a component called "silicone" that coats the hair, and if silicone gets on your hair, it may prevent the coloring agent from penetrating properly. If you are concerned about hair damage, we recommend using a non-silicone treatment.

Shampoo the day before

The chemicals used in coloring penetrate deep into the hair to color it. However, what prevents the chemicals from penetrating the scalp is the oil and moisture in the scalp, so if you shampoo right before coloring, the sebum will be washed away, weakening the scalp's barrier function. Some people may experience irritation.

Hair care products

If you have sensitive skin or are easily irritated by coloring, it is best to avoid shampooing on the day of your hair coloring and instead shampoo your hair the night before. If you feel that your hair does not feel refreshed without shampooing, we recommend having it shampooed at a salon.

Avoid using styling products on the day of your hair!

If you apply styling products to your hair before coloring, your hair may not be dyed properly. Therefore, try not to use styling products on the day of your hair coloring. If you accidentally apply styling products to your hair, it's a good idea to let the salon staff know.
